Welcome to a platform dedicated to creating a space for the development of independent dance and movement art in Poznań. As part of our activities, we strive to support artists in their creative processes, production, and event realization. We work for the benefit of systemic change in how dance and movement are perceived - as an important artistic, social, and political practice. Our initiatives - from dance pieces and performative actions to infrastructural projects - are united by one belief: faith in dance as a tool for agency and community-building.

Dance terrain - a program supporting dance and movement artists
Dance terrain is a pilot supporting program for dance and movement environment in Poznań. Its goal is to share fee-free spaces for rehearsals and creative work, in cooperation with Polish Dance Theater and Zamek Culture Centre. The project answers to the real needs of local artists, struggling with the lack of infrastructure, financing, and marginalization. The initiative constitutes a continuation of work by the dance environment on the benefit of systemic support and strives to keep the talents in the city, community integration, and the development of innovative, inclusive art. Dance terrain is a step towards making Poznań a strong dance and movement art centre in Poland.
Polish Theatre Foundation
Since its inception, Polish Theatre Foundation has focused on creating co-creative spaces, bringing together both Polish and foreign artists. It collaborates with local independent institutions, has experience in building creative - and even international - relations based on joint artistic work and networking.
The Foundation previously produced performances, international festivals as well as social-educational projects. Its awareness of the needs of audiences and the young artistic generation, along with its previous collaborations with institutions based in Poland and abroad, ensures a high artistic standard and a professional approach of organizing events.
Buried Dance Theatre
Independent dance artists whose practice emerges from the urge to explore social, emotional, and somatic tensions. Their work stems from a belief that dance can and should be a tool for critical thinking. They avoid easy aesthetic solutions - they choose movement that provokes reflection and action, movement that refuses to accept the status quo. Their mission is to initiate transformative processes - both in audiences and in social structures, which they comment on. They work with a wide range of dance and performance techniques - including contemporary dance technique, physical dance, floorwork or Japanese butoh, which enables them to create complex and multidimensional stage forms. In 2022, they were invited by Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch to the international dance festival Under construction - Under dogs and Role Models. In 2024, they participated in Polish Dance Platform in Open Platform/Let’s network.
